Thank you for purchasing one of EDC's Real-Time Dust Monitors.

To help us better diagnose your technical problem, please complete the following form.

Note: Before returning equipment to the EDC Service Department, this form must be completely filled out and an RMA number (Return Material Authorization) will be issued. This will aid our certified technicians in diagnosing the equipment problem and allow EDC to offer the fastest service possible in correcting a technical problem.

2) Does instrument power turn on with battery fully charged?   Yes  No
(Make sure battery has been charged for 24 hours with EDC approved and supplied charger)
3) Go to "Battery Status" menu on the instrument display. What is the value?  
4) Does "Memory Full" appear on the instrument display at any time?   Yes  No
5) Check the "Date/Time" menu on the instrument. Is it keeping time?   Yes  No
6) Insert Calibration Span reference accessory (this accessory is purchased separate and complete instruments on it's use is found in the instruction manual). If Calibration Span accessory is not available, use a pencil or pen and insert into center of sensor (review Calibration Span reference accessory instructions location of sensor inlet). What does the value on the instrument display read?    mg/m3
7) This procedure will require the instrument to run a sample test and the data to be emailed to techsupport@hazdust.com. If data cannot be downloaded, skip to section 9.

Step 1: Turn instrument power on and connect to battery charger and AC mains.
Step 2: Check "Battery Status" menu and ensure battery voltage is greater than 6.2 volts. Charge battery for 24 hours if less than 6.2 volts.
Step 3: Check "Date/Time" menu and set, if necessary.
Step 4: Set instrument in a clean office environment (less than .02 mg/m3 of particulates) and run a sample at a one-minute sample rate. Choose "overwrite" of any data in memory. (Note: download data before "overwriting" of data will be lost.
Step 5: Connect instrument to a PC and download data. See instruction manual if more instruction is needed.
Step 6: After data is downloaded into the EDC software program, save file as "Test" and email file to techsupport@hazdust.com.
Step 7: Turn unit "off" and then power unit "on". Then, check "Statistics" menu to ensure the data was stored with the correct date and time.
